Our Online Store - Bits

The basic bit styles we offer are listed in detail below:

Training and Correction Bits: The copper inlays and mouthpieces featured on many of these bits will encourage salivation and help the horse accept the bit more readily. Always remember correction bits can be severe and should be used by experienced riders only.

Coming Soon: This type of bit teaches the horse to yield to the direct pressure from the riders hands. For that reason, snaffle bits are the simplest and most popular bit style. Click here to view our Tom Thumb snaffle bits.

Curb Bits: Curb bits are leverage bits which are generally ridden with one hand. When the reins are pulled, the curb chain puts pressure on the chin groove. The greater the curve of the shank, the more delayed the signal time is to the horse, which makes curbs a popular choice for novice riders riding trained horses. Curb bits with longer shanks will send a more immediate and severe signal to the horse.

More bit choices will be coming!
